$1.9 million awarded in Class Action Lawsuit

McShane & Brady was lead counsel in a class action lawsuit against a Missouri hospital whose employee accessed and viewed medical records of Plaintiffs and the Class Members even though that employee was not involved in those patients’ treatment and had no working need to access and view those records for patient care purposes.

Because of the Breach, Plaintiffs and the Class Members no longer had autonomy and control over their medical and treatment histories. They had no idea who may now have access to this information.

McShane & Brady brought suit against the hospital on behalf of those who had their private information disclosed without permission and secured $1.9 million in damages.
