Recent Data Breaches

Venezia Bulk Transport

Venezia, a trucking and transportation company based in Pennsylvania, recently announced a data breach that has affected over 6,900 individuals.

On or about August 5, 2025, Venezia Transport experienced unauthorized access to our network.  After an investigation, it was determined on January 9, 2026, that the impacted files contained personal information.  The exact type of personal information potentially exposed has not been made public.

On January 22, 2026, Venezia began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals.

Civil Service Employees Association

Civil Service Employees Association Inc.  recently announced experienced a cybersecurity incident that involved the personal information of over 47,000 individuals.

According to a filing with the Office of the Maine Attorney General, on May 30, 2025, suspicious activity was discovered on their computer systems.

An investigation was conducted and found that there was unauthorized access to their systems between May 3, 2025 and May 31, 2025.  The investigation determined that names and social security numbers were breached.

National Boat Owners Association 

The National Boat Owners Association has announced a data breach that has affect over 3500 individuals.

According to a filing with the Office of the Maine Attorney General, “On or about mid-May 2025 through early June 2025, NBOA’s network appears to have been the subject of an unauthorized and illegal intrusion, during which the access or acquisition of personally identifiable information may have occurred.”

According to the notification letter, “The compromised data elements may have included the following: full names, addresses, and insurance policy numbers and information associated therewith.”

Letters dated January 21, 2026 are being sent to those affected by this breach.
