McShane & Brady, LLC is investigating a data breach from Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee that has affected over 337,000 individuals.

On July 14, 2025, Cookeville Regional discovered that we were the victim of a ransomware attack.  An investigation was conducted and found that an unauthorized third party accessed their computer network and viewed or acquired certain files between July 11, 2025, and July 14, 2025.

According to Cookeville Regional Medical Center’s website, “Depending on the individual, the personal information may include their name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, financial account number, medical treatment information, medical record number, and/or health insurance policy information. CRMC is mailing notification letters to individuals for whom they have a valid address and whose information was in the affected files.”
