My Story
Maureen Brady is a managing member and a founder of McShane & Brady, LLC. Her practice focuses on personal injury cases involving auto/trucking wrecks, slip & falls, dog bites and nursing home abuse. In addition, Maureen has become one of the leading attorneys in the nation to handle wrongful medical disclosures and HIPAA violations.
A graduate of Michigan State Law School, Maureen’s number one priority is her client. She wants to “help those who need my help.” Being injured in an accident is traumatic, and without our health we cannot live a full and productive life. Maureen wants her clients to concentrate their efforts on recovery while she works on their behalf to get the compensation they deserve.
In the field of HIPAA law, Maureen has been at the forefront of this emerging legal practice. She has won numerous cases against both individuals and corporations who have improperly disclosed private health information. Maureen has received multiple awards from her fellow attorneys for her work and is often times called upon to lecture about HIPAA law.
Prior to founding McShane & Brady, Maureen served as a law clerk for Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Michael W. Manners before joining one of Kansas City’s prominent law firms where she defended both individuals and corporations in civil and criminal litigation.
A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Maureen attended St. Teresa’s Academy and Creighton University. She is currently a board member of Go Red for Women, the Association of Women Lawyers and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Maureen is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas.
