McShane & Brady, LLC is investigating a data breach from Deaconess Health System, an Evansville, Indiana-based-based health system that operates 18 hospitals in southwestern Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeastern Illinois.  The breach affectsThe data breach affects certain patients of Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, KY, and Deaconess Union County Hospital in Morganfield, KY.

An investigation determined that an unauthorized actor accessed cloud-based file-sharing software from a third party vendor on January 13, 2026, and downloaded files.

Notification letters are being mailed to the affected individuals

It is unclear how many have been affected.
