McShane & Brady, LLC is investigating a data breach from pharmaceutical firm Inotiv. The company specializes in drug discovery, drug development, and research modelling.

Inotiv was made aware of the breach on August 8, 2025, when access to certain networks, systems, and data storage was prevented.  An investigation confirmed that a ransomware group had access to its network between approximately August 5 and August 8, 2025, during which time certain data may have been acquired.

According to the breach notice filed with the Maine Attorney General, 9,542 individuals have been affected.
