McShane & Brady, LLC is investigating a data breach from DermCare Management, a Florida-based provider of practice management services to dermatology practices in Florida, Texas, California, and Virginia.
According to a filing with the office of the California Attorney General, DermCare became aware of suspicious activity related to their computer systems on February 26, 2025.
An investigation determined that certain files were accessed or taken without authorization between February 14, 2025 and February 26, 2025.
Data potentially accessed without authorization include clinical care details, demographic information, insurance information, and driver’s license numbers.
The information exposed or acquired in the incident included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, credit and debit card information, financial account information, and medical information.
It is unclear how many have been affected.
