Sturgis Hospital in Michigan Announces Two Breaches

McShane & Brady is investigating multiple data breaches from Sturgis Hospital in Michigan which has affected over 77,000 individuals.

The first incident was identified in December 2024 when unauthorized activity was observed on its computer network.   An investigation was conducted and during that investigation further unauthorized network activity was detected in June 2025.

A separate investigation was launched into the second incident. Based on the two investigations, Sturgis Hospital concluded that there was potentially unauthorized access to patient and employee information and files containing patient and employee data may have been disclosed.
