HealthCare Interactive, Wyandot Center Announce Breaches

HealthCare Interactive, Inc.

Healthcare Interactive, Inc. (“HCIactive”) detected suspicious activity within its computer network on July 22, 2025.  An investigation was launched which confirmed unauthorized access to its network  between July 8, 2025, and July 12, 2025.  The data breach compromised personally identifiable information of over 87,000 individuals.

Healthcare Interactive Inc, based in Pittsburgh, PA, is provider of AI-powered software solutions for insurance enrollment and benefits administration.

The exposed files  contained protected health information such as names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, health insurance enrollment information, medical record numbers, diagnoses, lab results, prescriptions, and other care and treatment information, medical images, doctors’ names, and health insurance claims information.

Notification letters have recently been sent out to those affected by his breach.

Wyandot Center

Wyandot Center, a nonprofit community behavioral health center in Kansas City, KS, disclosed a cybersecurity incident that was first detected on or around September 22, 2025.

An investigation was conducted and confirmed unauthorized access to its network between September 21 and September 22, 2025.

The exposed data included names in combination with one or more of the following: address, date of birth, Social Security number, patient ID, medical record number, health insurance information, service date, diagnosis/condition information, provider name, prescription information, and/or medical history information.

It is unknown how many have been affected by this breach.

Petco

Petco, headquartered in San Diego, California, is a U.S. pet care retailer offering food, supplies, and other services.

Petco recently learned that a setting within one of its software applications accidentally made some files viewable on the internet.

In a filing with the Office of the Texas Attorney General, Petco reported that the affected data included: names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial information such as account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, and dates of birth.
