Data Breach lawyers

McShane & Brady, LLC is investigating a data breach from Houston, TX based Murex Petroleum.

Murex Petroleum Corporation is an oil and gas exploration and production company with locations across North America.

According to a filing with the Office of the Maine Attorney General, unauthorized access to their network was detected on or around May 27, 2025.   An investigation was conducted and concluded that some files may have been accessed or removed by the unauthorized individual(s) on or about May 27, 2025 and that the impacted files may have contained personal information.

It is unknown what personal information or how many individuals have been impacted by this breach.

Notification letters have been mailed to all affected individuals.
