Delta Dental of VA, Optima Tax Announce Breaches

Delta Dental of Virginia
On or around April 23, 2025, Delta Dental of Virginia discovered suspicious activity associated with one email account, according to a notice filed with the Office of the Maine Attorney General.
An investigation was conducted and Delta Dental determined that certain emails and attachments may have been accessed and acquired without authorization between March 21, 2025 and April 23, 2025.
The information that could have been subject to unauthorized access includes first and last name and as well as Social Security numbers, state or federal government issued ID numbers, and Protected Health information.
According the filing, over 145,000 individual have been affected by this breach.
The TEAM Companies
The TEAM Companies, based in Burbank California, is a payroll and technology provider serving the advertising and entertainment industries.
On July 21, 2025, unauthorized activity was detected on their internal network.
An investigation was conducted and determined that unauthorized activity appears to have occurred between July 15, 2025 and July 26, 2025.
The personal information involved varied by individual but may have included name, address, date of birth, government-issued identification number, financial account information, or health information.
The breach affected at least 21,936 individuals in the United States.
Optima Tax Relief
Optima Tax Relief identified unusual activity on their network on May 1, 2025, according to a filing with the Office of the California Attorney General on November 18th.
Optima is a tax resolution firm that helps individuals and small business owners nationwide resolve unmanageable IRS and state tax burdens.
An investigation was performed and determined that an unauthorized person accessed the network between May 1, 2025, and May 6, 2025, and downloaded copies of certain files.
It is unknown how many have been affected by his breach. However, if you receive notification, your information may have been compromised.
