450,000 Affected by Goshen Med Ctr Data Breach

McShane & Brady is investigating a data breach from Goshen Medical Center in Faison, NC, that has affected over 450,000 people.

According to a notice of data breach that was filed with the Office of the Maine Attorney General,, suspicious activity was detected within their network on March 4, 2025.

According the notice, “We promptly initiated an investigation of the matter and engaged cybersecurity specialists to assist with the incident response. As a result, we determined that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization on February 15, 2025. We then undertook a comprehensive review of the affected data and, on or about September 12, 2025, learned that some personal health information was involved.”

Information disclosed may have included name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, and medical record number.
