Wichita Urology Group Discloses Data Breach

In a letter dated March 3, 2023, Wichita Urology informed patients that a third party has accessed their systems from January 2, 2023 to January 3, 2023.   The letter also states that as part of their investigation, on January 26, 2023, if was also determined that some files may have been accessed from their systems as a result of the incident.

The letter also states ” that the data contained personal information such as name, prescription information, billing information and insurance policy information.”

According to U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office of Civil Rights, this breach affected nearly 1500 people.
