Tampa General Hospital Data Breach. 1.2 million patients affected

Tampa General Hospital has announced that hackers gained access to its network and stole files containing the protected health information of up to 1.2 million patients.

The security breach was detected on May 31, 2023.  The investigation confirmed that unauthorized access was gained between May 12 and May 30, 2023.

Information compromised may have included names, phone numbers, addresses, dates of birth.

Notifications letters are being mailed to those affected by this massive data breach.
