Mc&B Investigating Yale New Haven Health System Data Breach

Yale New Haven Health System has announced a data security incident that has affected more than 5.5 million individuals. This is the largest data breach reported so far in 2025.
Yale New Haven Health has confirmed that an unauthorized third party gained access to its network on March 8, 2025.
Data stolen in the cyberattack varies by individual. The stolen data may have included names in combination with one or more of the following: address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, race/ethnicity, patient type, medical record number, and/or Social Security number.
Letters of notification are being sent to those affected by this large data breach.
From hospitals, healthcare providers, government services, service providers to insurance companies, proper precautions and training have not been made to secure these records.
