HCA Healthcare announced a data breach that has compromised the information of approximately 11 million patients.
According to HCA, the breach was discovered on July 5th. This breach affected patients in 20 states including both Kansas and Missouri.

Patient name, city, state, zip code, email, telephone number, date of birth, gender, patient service date, location, and next appointment date were posted on an online forum.
If 11 million patients are affected, the breach would rank in the top five health care hacks reported to the Department of Health and Human Services.
