The Dairy Farmers of America, headquartered in Kansas, said cybercriminals breached company systems in June, gaining access to the information of employees and members of the cooperative.
A breach notification with filed with the Office of the Maine Attorney General. The personal information of 4,546 people was exposed during the attack.
According to the notice dated October 14, 2025 , “Beginning on June 11, 2025, an unauthorized third party gained access to our network through a sophisticated social engineering campaign, which led to the unauthorized access and exfiltration of company data, including personal information.”
“The data involved included your name in combination with Social Security number, driver’s license or state issued DI number, date of birth, bank account number, and Medicare or Medicaid number,” according the notification.
Notification letters are being sent to those affected.
Prosper
More than 17 million individuals were likely impacted by a data breach at peer-to-peer lending marketplace Prosper.
Exposed data included a customer’s or prospective customer’s name and date of birth, contact information including physical and email addresses, Social Security numbers, as well as details of an individual’s credit status, employment and income.
Founded in 2005, Prosper says its peer-to-peer lending platform has originated loans with a collective total worth of $29 billion for more than 2.3 million individuals. The company also offers debt consolidation, credit cards, investment vehicles, home equity lines, as well as home, car and medical loans.
